Our partnership with Matt has enabled him to build awareness of his businesses, primarily in the motorhome and associated leisure markets, as well as to raise his profile as a successful entrepreneur. Matt sees us as an extension of his team – whatever business he is launching and growing. Our work together can be summed up as creative, fast-paced and with a lot of fun along the way.
We initially worked with Matt and his two business partners at the Family Travel Centre, securing high profile national consumer coverage to launch the business concept. We have subsequently created campaigns and projects designed to flex around the needs of Matt’s businesses. We were asked to launch and raise awareness of The Motorhome Holiday Company and the subsequent diversification of its brands: Motorhome Hire, Motorhome Sales, Motorhome Share, Motorhome Storage and Motorhome Earn. From start-up mode through to expansion and diversification, we’ve run a hard-working press office to keep Matt front of mind in key media as an expert for all motorhome enthusiasts and as a successful British businessperson.
Matt is an ideal client, recognising the value of PR and so willing to drop everything to fulfil a media request. We have a strong PR partnership in Matt and together, we’ve developed an evolving thought leadership strategy around critical small business issues. For example, with Brexit dominating both the leisure industry’s growth and SME concerns, we capitalised on this issue, developing an angle around the changes to the Pet Passport for holiday makers considering travelling abroad with their pets. Matt has subsequently become the go-to spokesperson around Brexit and small businesses. He’s a regular guest on the BBC both regionally and nationally, including the Six O’clock News and BBC Radio Bristol.
Our campaign is now expanding more broadly into positioning Matt as an ‘expert small business’ providing advice to owner managers. From an initial blog series which secured regular media coverage, we are now working with Matt on developing his book, which used the blogs as different chapters.
