It's always important to take time out for the things that matter, especially when friends are involved and when it's for a truly brilliant cause. So it's great to be able to give our skills and contacts to help share the word about an incredible challenge. We'd love everyone to get involved and support it.
Knutsford-based extreme sportsman Guy Wolstencroft has secured a place as one of the 20 amateur cyclists who will take part in cycling’s ultimate event – the Tour de France 2020 challenge next summer. Guy will join the intrepid team of amateur cyclists aiming to raise a phenomenal £1,000,000 for Cure Leukaemia, which will be led by Geoff Thomas, former England, Crystal Palace, Rochdale and Crewe Alexandra footballer and blood cancer survivor. Guy will be self-funding his project and has a personal goal to raise £30,000 for the charity.
Thanks to the Knutsford Guardian for our first piece....here's to many more.
